So cops NEED to pull over as many people as possible to catch these bad guys. Everyone knows that ALL hi-profile criminals drive around in freshly waxed mustangs and camaros with dark tinted windows, thats the most obvious cover for them.
It couldn't possibly because they know the people are doing nothing terribly criminal and the cops see an easy ticket and a excuse to check out the rest of evil things you might be doing.
To the op, yes you will get nailed multiple times at $110 a pop.
I must have looked awfully suspect doing 25mph in my mustang in a line of traffic. Like I said, I get the rule but the reality is that a lot of leo's use the tint laws as a means to generate revenue, period. I even had one pull me over at 4am and then tell me a story about why he pulls over people with tint because he got shot at once from a tinted car. To me that would make me not want to pull over the tinted mustang at 4am with no one else on the road.

I would like to see a study that shows police are assaulted from traffic stops more in states that allow tint than ones that don't. If some lunatic wants to hide a gun and shoot a cop he can do it just as easy without tint. I think it's ridiculous that an officer is allowed to pull someone over just for tint based on that logic. If the person is not doing anything wrong, you are assuming he or she is a cop killer because they have tint?

^^^This. End thread.
And to address the OP's question, pay the fine if you like the tint or take it off if you want to save the money and future headache from law enforcement.
I've been pulled over twice for tint, one time being in my mustang with the windows down. I love the way tinted cars look but to me, it isn't worth the hassle it can create.

Pay the fine and move on....
From now on be alert and if you see 5.0 put your windows 1/3 down! Stay away from parks as Allegheny Country patrolman are freaking boyscout and love busting balls ..... or get one of these for your license plate!!
The main beef I have is that a Chevy Suburban or mini-van can have factory privacy tint that is dark as fu*k and they are ok. I'm so sure that a cop killer would never use one of those vehicles. Total bullshit.

Yep .. isn't that strange!
I've had tint on my F-150 for 5 years now and have never been hassled! I had tint on my Mustang for 24 hours and was pulled over twice ... First cop, (Allegheny County) was a compete incompetent DICKHEAD who couldn't read my license plate correctly! 2nd was a Hampton cop who just wanted to check my car out
Cops don't hassle me in my Grand Am.

Getting 25% in the Cali today. I've been busted buy the Po-Po before for tint and I'm sure I'll get busted again. Oh well!
I agree Mark, I've had pick-up trucks that had tint and was never bothered. I put it in the Stang, or GN, and the cops have an f-ing field day on my ass, giving me tickets. What gives?
