I even had one pull me over at 4am and then tell me a story about why he pulls over people with tint because he got shot at once from a tinted car. To me that would make me not want to pull over the tinted mustang at 4am with no one else on the road.
This is why you are not a cop. People who run away and hide instead of doing their job, should not be in law enforcement.

Mark Aubele, and Silverhatch: If you understand why there is a tint law (Police Officer Safety), then you should also understand why most officers or law enforcement have tint on their personal vehicles. Chances are, a cop will not be shooting you when they get pulled over.

phillysrt4: Didn't know we were debating all types of vehicle code violations. If that's the case, post up a picture of your car and lets go to town. Moreover, I would like you to explain how you know my vehicle is inspected and driven on the road?

Yes because that are the only two options. Being driven on the road every day or a track car.;)

You are upset that public information found on a search engine was copied into this thread?

I am upset you posted it. All because you are butthurt because people are being critical of you being high and mighty with your tint on your PERSONAL VEHICLE because you are a cop, but the rest of us can't have it. On a police car, I would completely understand, but your personal vehicle, come on. I was in the military for 6 years, am I allowed to have tint now?

I'm sorry but that's extremely hypocritical to say that people should be ticked for window tint but cops can have it and be left alone.

If you want to tint your windows, that's anyone right, but people should be pulled and ticketed accordingly.

I'm not a threat and would never shoot a cop but yet ill still get a ticket. That's fine, ill take the ticket and pay it. But on the flip side, a cop is still a person that could shoot another person like anyone else. How is someone suppose know otherwise?

A cop walking up on a car is not going to know who that person is inside the car as they approach it. The whole safety aspect has already been compromised even before the officer makes contact with the driver.

    Your logic makes little sense.

If you really want me to post a pic of my bone stock 2008 Hyundai Accent (right down to the paper filter) I can, but considering its 100% factory I dont know what there would be to "go to town" on.

I could also post a pic of the SRT4 I owned, but again since there were only powertrain mods, the appearance was also stock right down to the factory wheels, so I don't know what would be there to "go to town" on either.

I was just asking if darkened headlights were done using tint or if they were considered "tint" with respect to legality in PA. Don't take it so personally.

I had a cop pull me over for headlight covers (tinted) and no wipers (don't ask I was a young kid) on my '95 vert on a beautiful sunny afternoon in SouthPark. I was doing absolutely nothing wrong but coasting down the road at 25mph. I wasn't even in the actual "park" yet. Anything altered from stock is considered illegal, from what i've been politely informed by an LEO. Can't even have anything hanging from a rearview mirror, which includes air freshners.

Wow. Want to know why you get pulled over for tint? Its illegal. Its an officer safety issue and it doesnt matter what car the tint is on, its illegal to have. Jesus christ.
