On top of that are the serious escalations with Iran right now. It's not very secret that the US and our allies are doing very dirty things in Iran (helping sunni militants in Iran that have been active against the Revolutionary Gaurd, capturing 3 high ranking Iranian officers, the defection of the former defense minister etc etc), and that Iran is stepping up their effort to target US troops in Iraq.

Even as a strong supporter of the war and our troops I can honestly say I'd much rather play football and get rich than go to Iraq.
