    Hail

As long as you have comprehensive coverage on your insurance policy, it will be covered. You will be responsible for your comp. deductible though. Most insurance companies will write the damage on your car with paintless dent removal process (PDR)...unless the vehicle was repainted at some point, then you will need a conventional repair (paint and body work). I've been in the Auto Insurance biz for a looooonnng time, so this stuff is second nature to me. I hope this helps!

Drove right through some nasty stuff near Robinson on way home, sounded terrible on my dentless Contour SVT :(
I will be surprised if there is no damage when I check it out fully tomorrow.

I got an email this morning from a good buddy who works at the National Weather Service in State College, warning me that we might get hail at the end of the work day today - and as usual he was right-on. He should be the local Weatherman - he is almost never wrong. Golf-ball-sized hail in Robinson right on cue around 4:00. Somehow my '94 F150 looks like it is fine. We also had 2 waves of it. Just as I left work - no jacket - no umbrella - ( hey - it was warm this morning! ) and headed toward the parking lot the wind picked up and rain started coming down. Ok - I'll walk fast... 5 seconds later I start hearing PING PING PING - oh crap - here comes more hail! So I sprinted the 100 yards or so thru the lot to my truck with my arm protecting my face/head as best I could as more 1" hailstones whizzed past me. LuckilyI didn't take any direct hits. I sat in the truck for a minute or two watching it come down, and the balls were pelting my windshield pretty good. Fortunately, the hail stopped after about 2 minutes and soon after the rain let up.

Sorry for those of you who had some damage - that really sucks.

Screw the hail, some people in and near the westmoreland county area got mowed down by a tornado, I was standing in an elevated area and in the distance(that we determined to be in the direction of the Irwin area) you definately could see the funnel cloud, the one i saw almost touched down but then went back up into the sky, this was the first time i ever seen something like this, it was nuts..the hail here in west mifflin were the size of golfballs also

The tornado came right through my yard. It hit Hempfield High School which is across the street from my house. These are some picture of a fairly large mobile home that my pap owned and is located 90-100 feet behind my house. Obviously it was destroyed. In the bottom picture on the right side, you can see the frame of the trailer that wrapped around a tree.

Don't know about vehicle damage yet. The 05 was inside the Cobra is at the shop still. It did take out our power pole after a tree fell on the wires. Ripped it right off the side of the house. Funny thing is this happened last year when we had the storm. Only had part of the stucco fixed from last time. Guess it was a good thing. Just missed the quads. Hell to get back home had to drive under a Pine tree on Wendell Hermine road. I hope everybody else comes out clean.

Not sure when they started it, but ours is an 07, and roof and doors are dent resistant like some of the Saturns use to be. The rest is galvanized steel I believe. I punched ( I don't recommend doing this to a regular car. Lol) the driver side door one time to test it and nothing happened. Love that German engineering.
