Troy aren't those face-plated or pro-shifted? Not taking anything away from him but I don't see a non-syncro'd trans and prepped clutch being difficult.
Also a good trick I came up with was using a right-handed rain golf glove. They are tacky if a little moisture, perfect for racing (would eliminate the towel routine he used).

I would say by the clunk when he downshifted while sitting, it's a non syncronized tranny ...

Yeah, I was typing while waiting for the vid to load, that definitely is Bob.
I miss doing some power-shifting in the T5/stock 302, never did that with the TKO 600/Turbo as the parts were on the limit as is :)

Was it clutch smoke, blowby from breathes, or left over from his burnout? I would suspect at that level they are using slipper clutches, at a minimum I would expect a metal friction material, so I'm not sure what would smoke?

    Probably a combination of above.
Actually I believe that class still requires diaphragm clutches, at least they used to when I was working with ProMotion on my TKO600 issues.

Looks good, but the 3650 in my Mach 1 was that easy to power shift.

Aha, then it most certainly has to be sintered metal of some kind.

At what RPM? I know I could never shift a T5 at those RPM like that (6800 ish), the lever simply does not want to move (no matter how hard you try to force it) :D

    6800ish actually.
Really though the 3650 was cake to powershift. It's like it was meant to be.
I had over 100 passes on the stock clutch and powershifted nearly every one.
It was torture going from a smooth direct shifter like that to a cable operated in a FWD.
