    Twisted wedge heads??

    http://www.trickflow.com/pressreleases/twistedwedge195/

Thoughts?? Im looking at pulling some new heads on my gt and dont want to go threw all that work for 4v's. Any idea if this would be the best option or is there something else out there that would preform better? Opinions appreciated :)

What is your current setup? The stock PI heads will take you pretty far, typically you dont see a whole lot of gain from upgrading the heads untill your making gobs of power. How much power are you looking to make? I've seen plenty of people make 700hp on the stock heads.

I put Twisted Wedge on a 66 289 hipo & picked up 45hp @ rear wheels w/ the heads out of the box. Trick Flow does a great valve job w/ Serdi machines .Most shops can hurt them rather than help.

That's a totally different ball game, the OP is talking about modular heads.

x2...the modular heads are pretty good from the factory...unlike the 289/302 heads that sucked ass from the factory

I wasn't giving opinion on mod heads , factory or not. I am giving my experience w/ Trick Flow. They do constant R&D , which produces a valued product.

TW heads are the ticket for high hp/high rpm NA setup or high hp PA setup. Otherwise I'd stick to a good set of worked over PI heads. For a nasty 2v build that be the way to go.

Still have to watch as one set they use powder guides and the more racey ones use bronze guides.

They advertised selling a setup that can push out over 8k rpm and hold up, seeing as im looking to put a t56 magnum under her I thought the setup might be a good idea for high rpm launches on frag tires. Im looking to stay n/a for now and see what kinda power i can make out of that. was also considering a decent sized cam and possible zex setup within the next 3-4 months so im looking to make a good amount of power, possibly push her up over 400 whp and 450 torque. thought the heads may be a good investment?

Heads may flow good to 8k but that doesn't mean the rest of your valvetrain or bottom end will.

haha if i break it i have an excuse to build it. and id replace the springs to hamilton lol im not going at 8k with stock springs and all. if anything id break the rotating assembly

You will blow it up much faster trying to spin a bone stock bottom end to 8k rpm.

i saw a trickflow head 2v at bigshot dyno last year that made 330 rwhp. not bad but a sc will get u to 400 easy for similar money. my car makes 434 at well under 6000 rpms. with a safe tune its all good brother

If I had the money I'd love to build a 2v with a tfs top end, just don't expect to be able to take it to 8k. But supercharger/turbo/nitrous will probably yield more power.

lol maybe 8k isnt that important atm but the power id get would be decent from a cammed tw setup probly cost 3500 tho
