    Upgrades to 97 v6 brakes?

I know I saw this somewhere but the best upgrade to stock 97 calipers/pads/rotors is 99-04 parts? Do I need anything special to swap them like hoses too e
tc. Thanks in advance and I'm at work on my phone or id scour the net for this

well looks like just the 99-04 calipers is all thats needed to do an upgrade? I did some searches on the board here but not much luck....and this is all I could find elsewhere. I dont have 17" wheels or a bunch of cash so can't go cobras.

In all honesty does everyone feel this is a worthwhile upgrade or is my 100. spent better on a set of stainless hoses? which is gonna help braking more?

2 piston calipers from the 99+ will stop a lot better than the older cars single piston!! But IMO I would save for cobra brakes and wheels!! Huge upgrade!!! You can use your hoses but go braided stainless steel lines!!

In all honesty its just a vert. v6 car, so I'm mostly just looking for a small upgrade from the stock single piston mushy brakes ya know? I may swap in a 4.2 with a s/c at some point but I doubt it as its mainly the wifes weekend car and shes not real keen on the performance aspect lol but thanks for the advice though

If u wanna stay cheap just get high performance brake pads and drilled/slotted rotors. I noticed a huge upgrade just doing that. But the pedal still fades from 100-0 stops lol. That's why I went with cobra brakes. Single pistons stock brakes will have both your feet into the firewall and a brown spot on your seat!!

ya that worries me lol......I was told that by someone else as well just to pickup a set of rotors and pads from Brakemotive on ebay and then upgrade the hoses to stainless and dot5? fluid or something like that

I thought the V-6 and GT brakes for 94-98 were the same?

Ya this is about putting front calipers/brackets/pads on a 94-98 car from a 99-04 car

I would skip the brake upgrade all together and buy her a mach 1 hood for it
