    So buddies building a 5.0...

So a buddy of mine is building a 87 fox basic 302 from the ground up, hes stroking it to a 347, using trick flow twisted wedge 2vs with a .518 lift cam, 150 shot, eaton blower, 4:10s, and a forged bottom end. Planning on running 8-10 psi to start, any idea on the power it will put out or at least a ballpark estimate? have a few bets going for the hell of it but I hear they make decent power for the money.

My guess is 78rwhp after he cracks the block.

I may be on the optimistic side.

Somewhere between 200-600 at the tires, depending on the number of stickers on the back window.

Is this all on a factory block? I was making 495 at the rear of my Fox and everyone said I was pushing it with that. Dart or Boss block needs to be in there if he wants it to last!

Zero. It wont make any power when the block splits...Your description is very vague though. Which blower and specifics on whats goin in will better determine a bench racing number. I mean shit, I had a stock headed motor make over 400 with lots of boost.

It is just an unanswerable question, guys are having fun. If he had more accurate specs, I think more serious answers would be given.

    Whos car?

Stock 5.0 block isn't a question if it will break but when at that power level..

Teksid block is stronger than WAP block but both can hold a lot of power, I wouldn't be concerned unless your trying for like 800hp+.
