    Thumbs up Mercury Racing!

Mercury Racing introduced their most powerful engine to date, 1350 hp using 91 pump gas.

The engine is a turbocharged 9.0L V-8 with 7.8:1 compression ratio, quad cam and four-valves per cylinder.

176mph! I've been on a small boat with a big engine that went probably 75mph....that was scary as it was. I can't imagine 100 more mph. Very nice though. I wonder what it cost to buy something like that.

Speechless....what an amazing machine! What impresses me more than the speed is the stability.

45mph on my runabout does just fine for me, couldnt even imagine this.

If the water is smooth, you'd be amazed how nice it would ride. What amazed me was the skier they were pulling the whole time!

Yeah - that was a fun day - I spent most of it tubing 200 yards behind the boat...
