5.0 I drove both then started doing some research and the ecoboost just doesn't feel like a truck to me. Its a dog until the boost comes on imo.

Probably true but should be an easy fix with an aftermarket tuner, although not easy to jeopordize a warranty on a 40k+ truck.

Kinda what I was thinking and also I read that the ecoboost is having issues with coolant leak... Ford has a hold on a bunch in Detroit that are ready to ship and will only say there is a coolant leak issue. I figured I'd just go with the 5.0 and hope some of the Mustang aftermarket would be compatable like the GM LSX serries.

The 5.0 is nice its there when you need but very tame and fuel efficent if you keep your foot out of it. So far I'm gettin about 15.9 avg. per gallon and thats with me roolin into it a little. I bought it monday with 6 miles on it so I'm tryin to take it easy for a little but it shits and gets when you push your foot down. All and all in the three days I've had it I've put 80 miles on it and am very pleased with the truck. I'm planning on doing some minor bolt on's but the aftermarket isn't there yet. Plus I need a programer cause from what I have read all the new ford trucks have a 96mph cut off. There claiming it to be a safety feature but with the amount of highway driving I do I don't wanna be in the middle of passing a semi and hit the cut off. By now means am I reckless especially not in a truck but I'd rather have the option especially on the highway.

BTW that 15.9 avg is not just the driving aspect that includes about a 10 min warm up in the morning and running while I get my coffee at BP in the morning. Not like that will make a huge difference but figgured I'd add that in.
