    New ATF Director!
"a member of the Board of Directors of the virulently anti-rights Joyce Foundation, voting record as a state senator in Illinois, and the US Senate. They want us to overlook Obama’s consistent statements that he would like to see a reinstatement of the failed 1994 “assault weapons” ban and they have completely ignored Obama’s consistent record of appointing anti-rights extremists to critical positions."

Joyce Foundation/Obama and the Attempt to Destroy the Second Amendment.

    http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/obama-a...ond-amendment/

"In 1999, midway through Obama’s tenure, the Joyce board voted to grant the Chicago-Kent Law Review $84,000, a staggering sum by law review standards. The Review promptly published an issue in which all articles attacked the individual right view of the Second Amendment."

Just a matter of time. When it hits the fan and people fight back they won't stand a chance. (meaning civilians)

    World's Largest Army

In WWII, Japan 's highest ranking naval officer was Isoruku Yamamoto.
Although he was Japanese, and his loyalties were unquestionably with
The Empire, he studied for many years in America , graduating from
    Harvard University.

There is an often repeated (and sometimes disputed) quote
attributed to him regarding the possibility of any nation taking a war
to American soil: "You cannot invade the mainland United States.
There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass." Here is why he was
    correct:

    ------------------------------------------------------

America's Hunters. The World's Largest Army. The state of Wisconsin
has gone an entire deer hunting season without someone getting killed.

That's great, considering there were over 600,000 hunters that got
permits this year. Allow me to restate that number. Over the last two
months, the eighth largest army in the world - more men under arms
than Iran ; more than France and Germany combined - deployed to the
woods of a single American state to keep the deer population under
control. But that pales in comparison to the 750,000 who are in the
    woods of Pennsylvania this week.
Michigan 's 700,000 hunters have now returned home.

Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia , and it is literally the
case that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the
largest army in the world. And that is just FOUR states.
The total population of registered hunters in America today ranges from
23 million to 43.7 million individuals.

(Based on annual data provided by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.)
As long as the American Hunter retains his right to Bear Arms, America will
forever be safe from foreign invasion of
troops. Hunting - it's not just away to fill the freezer.

It's a matter of national security.

It's estamated that technology doubles every 3 years. Guns are so freaking outdated.

The second amendment might be great for intruders in the home, but it won't work against the Government anymore. I could care less what Franklin or Jefferson said either since they were still brushing their teeth with chalk back then. Too much has changed, unfortunatly for the worse.

I would not under estimate what a well armed population can do. When armed one can aquire the other types of weapons that would other wise be next to impossoble to get when armed with just rocks.

And BTW our small arms are no differant than what the military uses with the exception of a happy switch, which there are also lots of those in civi's hands as well.

I agree. I think it was a motivated 7% that beat the British. That was gun vs gun. The problem I have with believing it's possible is unknown technology, and the fact that Americans wouldn't know how to function without Food in a grocery store, clean water or their cell phones, computers, fuel, or.....?

How many people would actually join you? How many people would surrender? You can't take hunting stats and assume thats how many people will join a resistance. Foriegn UN troops would have a field day here, it may be sooner than we think.

"I just want you to know that we are working on it," Barack Obama reportedly told Sarah Brady regarding gun control. "We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar."

They said the same stuff before and during Viet Nam and then again about the Soviets in Afghanistan.

Gun aren't outdated and neither is the Second Amendment.

    I hope you're right, I really do.

More than likely it will be a long thought out plan done slowly, just like our standard of living has gradually plumeted into something pathetic.
They do it fast enough to get the job done, but slow enough without resistance.
