Posted this on a few other boards. If someone was to buy a set of rockers, lifters, pushrods and cam from someone who had the setup in another engine on a set of "Y" heads, would that exact same combo fit perfect on a set of "X" heads? I would think different heads have different deck thicknesses making the pushrod length different, or is it something that would be so close it doesn't matter?

For the 80 bucks for the pushrods, it wouldnt matter if you are getting a good enough deal..

Yeah, I ended up getting the full setup. Its going in my bigblock for the Chevelle. It ended up costing me $40 for the pushrods, so i'll take a chance. Guys on other boards advised that most heads are so close it should work.
Shoot...on a Chevy, you have so much room to negotiate, it will be fine. Hey, my neighbor has a set of nasty ass Brodix heads he is going to be selling real soon. He is doing a 596" from Doug Herbert in his '69 Chevelle.

HAHA Nice. I will probably direct him your direction when he is ready to dump everything, you are on a lot of Chevy forums. He will kick you cash too. Funny part is, the heads dont have 500 miles on them. Never been over 3000 RPM either.
