Nothing wrong with getting your car back into the nearly perfect condition it was in before the accident. If the dealer is liable, they should pay to make the car perfect again. Too many times honest people who are not at fault take it on the chin when things like this happen. I know when my SHO was totaled by a senile 75-year-old I got the short end of the stick from the insurance company. People who rape the system do cost us honest folks money, but Fordman isn't one of those rapists & deserves to be made whole, even if he has to take the dealership to court. This is precisely what the legal system is for. If this happened to him, chances are that the mechanic is making other serious mistakes, and eventually someone is going to get seriously hurt or worse unless something is done. Good luck to you, bud. I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything works out for you.

Wow...just saw this post. Glad know one was hurt. Cars can be replaced, people can not.
"If speed wasn't important, it wouldn't be called the human race!"
FordMan , There is an obsure PA law that covers diminished value. A lot of repair shops, at the behest of the insurance companies, will try to use aftermarket parts ( not OEM original). If they persist you drop the Dimished value card on them and you will see some quick backstepping. "Everyone hates Laywers until they need one" . I do . The reality is that sometimes the greed of individuals or companies leaves one no resort. I always try to work things out but if that fails there are other options. Good luck and glad you are ok. Dave
Then IF the car is fixed and this repair ends up on Car-fax, which it probably will, you will get less for the car when you decide to sell or trade it in. No fault of your own, but you will suffer monetarily and emotionally in the end.
For your sake I really hope the car is totaled.

Well, found out today that car is not totaled. I was told damage was 8200.00. He said it would have had to been around 8k more to total it according to his computer. He called was very nice and happened to be car guy and said he would take care of it. He left a paper if there is any hidden parts or damage that needs repaired he would take care of it. So now I'm going to find a shop to fix it it I guess. Time to start gathering parts. I just truly hope I can't tell its fixed or I don't know what I'll do. I mean cars are wrecked all the time and it's not reported and people buy them and never know and usually don't have any problems. Of course sometimes they do. I mean the adjuster is right it's all cosmetic damage but IDK how I feel about it at this point. I'm picky. Told the guy I was. I wanted to be there but am still out in York, pa working on a job. Guess it wouldn't have made a difference. I guess I'll see how it plays out.

Good luck John. Do you have any wiggle room ( vs using all factory parts ) to do any upgrades during the repair process - like a full Roush or Saleen body kit or ??? Hang in there - I'm sure you'll find a place that will fix it to your satisfaction, hopefully not too long after nice weather gets here ( if that ever happens ).

Wow! I just saw this myself. I'm glad you're okay! I'm sure you had to be sore after getting bounced around like that. I hope it all turns out for the best for you.
Im glad your ok bud Just as well as my self and my sister and friends. Saturday night, day before moms day we were hit by a drunk driver.
Yeah I'm fine. Wow... sorry to hear about the drunk driver. Sounds like your luck is about as good as mine. Glad to hear your okay. I hope he had insurance. Investigator was out Monday to look at the damage he took pictures had me take him to where it happened found two of the lug nuts and said I had to wait to send it to the shop because they may want to send one of their investigators out to look at it. So hopefully I can get it out and get it done in time for June IDK. Good luck with your ordeal.
