X2 Mike, I hooked there no issue but thought I was on the return road in the left lane, it was really bad. Last I was there the right wasn't too bad. I will go back for the UMTR race and see what's up I guess.

Of course the bump in the left lane at PRP friggs with my mph bad, and I'm not raising the nose that high to correct that. It's not rough, but something that seems to need attention there too as it seeks to get a little worse every year.

I agree Bob, the right lane definitely seemed better at QCR.

I also agree with the differences in mph between lanes at PRP. Alot of cars with a nose height like ours seem to have the problem and its a PITA. The cars that are really low or higher dont seem to see the difference. Its not PRP's equipment or the fact that its setup incorrectly, its the track itself. But like you said, I agree something needs to be done at some point.

Do you have any idea how low guys are that dont have an issue? I might need to take a tape measure with me ...

I think Ed experimented with this on his and went up a good bit ??

I know the higher fox guys dont see it (Chuck, Dave, etc), but I did with stockish front springs. I never saw it with the Eibach launch springs either but would need to raise my nose almost 3" for that (aint happening). When I put coil overs on now it's the worst I ever saw it (5 mph at times (112 versus 117) and going down 1" didnt help

(and FWIW ET's are identical, it's only MPH I see affected).

I'm going to add a flap under my core support (air deflector) that might act as a beam beaker if I do it right. All of it doesent matter for racing but when tuning I need to fight to keep in right lane or it's useless.

The cars that are low enough that it doesn't effect are the ones that probably trip the beam with their nose for all the beams. If your only seeing a difference in MPH and not ET then I would think that the first MPH stripe that starts the timer is causing your problem because the second one would also be ET.

Fabricate something that hangs under your bumper to trip the be. I bet this solves your problem.

I only see a few mph difference with mine, no where near 5 mph. If I did alot of testing like you it would drive me nuts also.

PRP updated their site this afternoon and they are racing all weekend. The weather looks to be prime for fast ET's. With alot of other tracks being closed and it being opening day expect a big turn out. I just hope there aren't many breaks and oil downs.

Also, they posted that they will be using the back gate only by Carmen's Cafe.

For sure, it's either a bump or crown there that does it at the 1st MPH beam. I alway thought bump because my car has got unsettled there a few times (not the bump after the stripe). Other guys say it's a crown.

Yes, I just need to work out the staging beam heights. I dont want to stage off it. Was going to make a little piece that bolted / Dzus buttoned on flush at the front of the air damn, but that only tripped the down track beams (it has to be my air damn tripping it). Sort of like the pro mod guys do with pecker extenders, but flush with the nose.

It's okay if I can stay right lane to test, but you know how that can be sometimes.

Recent update to PRP website (and text service) ...

We are making every attempt to open the track this weekend. Please understand that all this rain has saturated the ground here. Tomorrow's start time is being changed to allow us an attempt at making sure the track is dry and ready.
Saturday April 30th, the gates will open at 12 Noon, with racing starting at 1pm (weather permiting). We will update the website by 9am Saturday morning if anything changes. Also, we will update the office phone message and send text alerts (rainedout.com)
Tomorrow is predicted to be 70 and sunny! Keep your fingers crossed the weather people are right for a change!

Meh was out that way all day at Seward and Conemaugh power stations. What little rain that fell was very light. Roads were drying by time I left at 3pm. Long as no rain falls overnight they should be good.

Gates open at noon and racing at 1pm if all goes well. The run slick cars, bikes, JR's then Street. Think they planned a gamblers race which should happen about 2-3 hours in.

They dont have an end time... They will probably run real close to dark I would think. I doubt they will turn the lights on.
