    2011 5.0 6speed and 3.31???

Ok so i have been itching to trade mine in on a 2011 or 2012 5.0 premium..I have had my car for a year and I really like it and all..but kinda itching for that 5.0 and also the better gauge cluster and leather interior..So there is one locally a 2011 black with saddle interior 6speed..but it has 3.31 gears my 2010 has 3.73 and I really wanted one with the 3.73 would it make a big difference. Should I hold out on one with 3.73's the only thing is they are offering lower interest rate and dropped the price a few grand cause its a 2011 to move it.

yea i know i can do the gear swap..but I have heard alot of horror stories on people have whine if not a factory install..I know gears are cheap..I made the call and going to see what deal they come back at me with..if it is my like I will probably buy it this weekend after getting all my parts off my car.

I would almost prefer the 3.31s over the 3.73s anyway, but a gear swap is so easy, if you want 3.73s, just go have it done. Then again, you could look for one with the 3.73s. Either way, you could likely launch either '11 in third gear and outrun your current '10, so it is a win either way.

To bad you couldn't find a totaled 11 or 12 GT that was hit in the rear or side and swap the motor in yours. It would probably be the cheapest and you could keep your car and not have to de-customize it... Just a thought!

swapping the motor would be a crazy amount of work..new tranny, wiring harness...I think pulling off springs and lower control arms alot easier

50 shot of nitrous will more than make up for that gear difference and no whine to boot!

But seriously as long as you buy FRPP gears and have a respectable shop install them they wont whine.

id never put nitrous in any car I own...so that is a big negative from that dealer...he told me mid 400's with 84months...GTFO
last nov I was thinking of doing this as well and that car was 2grand more expensive and not as good as interest rate and it was 440 for 72months..So far I will keep mine unless someone deals what i want.

I think the 3.31's would be awesome if you want to go blower later on...

But I drove one with 3.73's and it was REALLY nice...
