A list ....
Your RT sucks
You are testing in the left lane at PRP
You have a GM ;)
Seriously, you could NOT trust anything those scoreboards said yesterday. There are some major issues there for sure, and they was worse in the right lane as far as what they was showing.
The timeslips are right as they are tied to the scoring system directly, no matter what. That's not to say they are accurate, but they print what the timing system records.
I suspect when you mention the ET/MPH matches your last year combo that should be the clue the scoreboard was wrong as the starting line wasnt what you are going to see after everything gets settled.
Great day to knock the dust off everything, but not a lot to be really learned there yesterday IMO ... It's one of the reasons I never really try to makje it to the opener ... BTW - Your car looked great!
Great point ... Let's hope some % of all the new staff stick around. I actually felt welcome there (by the track) for the first time in several years. Was REALLY good to see Mike out and walking around saying hello to people as well, it's been several years since ownership showed any interest to it's customers.
The other positive was that they opened the front gate when it was advertised to only use the back gate. They could of let everyone sit, but they made efforts to get us in there.
I was of course disappointed by the scoreboard situation. Whern you are there to watch, it's kind of worthless. That's why we left in the gamblers ... what's the point of watching a bracket race when you cant see the spots and final packages.
i was down 5mph from last year (white supra pic in the OP) ran left lane all day, but i think its just a coincidence... had a lot of traction issues

Now let me say that I am NOT trying to bash PRP in any manner. I love going to PRP and want it to be there for a long time. It's the nicest track in the area and I usually hook amazingly well there and I run my best times there. But I think there was an issue with the timing system yesterday and I am just trying to bring it to light so it can be corrected. It was opening day and $hit happens, but accurate timing is a basic necessity for a racetrack. I'm sure they will find the issue and have everything working next time I get to go. (If it ever stops raining for a minute).
yeah that celica was moving pretty good yesterday

I have always had more MPH in the LH lane @ PRP. It only affects ceartain cars from what ive seen, ive had friends race the same day and run the same in both lanes. I think it has to do with the height of the car? Not sure.

I agree, and believe me, I have been accused of being a "track basher" for doing the same ...
I have very well seen that (depending on your car nose height) that MPH in the left lane at PRP can not be trusted. Raise your nose, it's okay, drop your nose it's okay, get to a point that you "might" trip the MPH clock with your nose instead of a tire and I've seen 5 mph, with 3 more typical ... Last year I ran 2 runs in the right, two in the left one night and was 112 mph right, 117 mph left. That's what needs fixed for those of us that test combos.
I did not make any passes yesterday so i'm not sure if the bumps out there changed over winter or what, but it's "real" based on your cars ride height.
Also, playing with one of my favorite performance calculators ...
Based on your 1/8th mph ... 660 MPH102.27
It predicts ...
1/4 Mile MPH125.79
Not saying it's perfect, but this one generally works VERY well for me, and is what I use when I'm in the left lane to verify my data.
I know you're not track bashing. One thing we all know is the score boards were all messed up which they know because they worked on them all day and even payed someone else to help try and figure it out. If there was a issue with the timing system the guys that have cars that run the same number over and over would also have the same problem as you. I still belivev its the same isseue they have had for years with certain cars tripping the beams different.
If you want the problem to be known in order to try and fix I would email Michael Tedesco and other managment with the pic and time slip you posted on here because I promise you, no one from PRP's management is on this site in order to read this post.
