Alrightee, then. That would be Mr. Ben from now on ! LOL !!

Them was some good vids !

What is up with the thrust bearings on the turbo'd cars ? I know of 2 others who have been having similar issues. One on a 351 based engine and the other a 4.6L modular style.

The thrust bearing was totally my fault. I measure for driveshaft length incorrectly. I ran it that way for just over a year before I noticed my thrust was somewhere between .040" - .060". I only had 1/4" of play on the driveshaft before the yoke bottomed out on the output shaft of the trans. I fixed that at the same time I repaired the motor.

That makes some sense. You are actually pretty lucky. With that kinda thrust play, it is a wonder it didn't get ugly, real ugly !

I kiked the T-n-T video. I thought you were going to take out the tree. The shot of the thrust journal on the crank is wild. Never seen a crank that discolored.

It got HOT. You can see all of the damage pics here: http://saleen.v8mustang.com/pics/car/carnage/

There were score marks on the main caps/webbing from the crank throws.
