Rear Shocks- Bilstein HD vs Koni STR.T and Koni Sport

I am very close to buying rear shocks for my 2001 GT Convertible (non-IRS). I am stuck between Bilstein HD's and Koni STR.T...and the sports.

I've read a ton of good reviews on the Bilsteins, but I've been told the Koni STR's are very comparable AND THEY ARE LIKE HALF THE PRICE!!!

Not only that but I already have accepted paying the Bilstein type money on the shocks so I hear that for the same money I can get ADJUSTABLE Koni Sports. I was told that on their softest setting they were about the same as the Koni STR's but if I ever wanted to do some performance driving I'd have the option for a stiffer shock!

    SO WHAT DO I DO???

My Mustang is my Daily Driver, and my main goal is comfort and road absorbancy. I live in New Mexico now so the roads are not very windy or as bumpy as Pittsburgh. Most streets are pretty straight. But I do go on long trips semi-frequently so I do want my shock to be able to stand up to any and all driving conditions.

When I race it's just for fun so I'm not overly concerned about performance, but I want to get some performance for my money (which is why i'm looking at quality shocks).

So what do you guys think?
