PRP May 26-29

If the weather cooperates, PRP will have 4 straight days of racing this week/weekend.

Thursday is test and tune, gates open at 5pm, runs start at 6pm.

Friday is Night at the Races, gates open at 5pm. It's like a split gambler's race, 2 classes, 10.00 and up, 9.99 and quicker. Each pays $600 to win, $200 runner up, and $75 to the semis, I believe.

Saturday and Sunday, it's the Memorial Day Weekend Bash. All military personel, past and present, get free spectator admission. In the race classes, all entry fees are the same as usual, but the round money through the semi's money is DOUBLED. Street ($30 entry, 12.00 and up, footbrake only, slicks and open header allowed) will pay $1k, Modified ($40 entry, transbrake allowed, 13.99 and quicker), Top ($40 entry, delay box class, 11.99 and quicker), will each pay $2k. That's for both days! Saturday is also the Pittsburgh Pro Mods, pretty cool show, 2 qualifying sessions, 1/8th mile doorslammers, running in the low 4s.

I will be out tomorrow to watch, Then Saturday to Race .. .skipping Friday this time hoping to save some clutch for the UMTR race at QCR Sunday.

I have no idea in the end ... It should be great, usually 60 ish UMTR cars in two classes, plus they have slingshot dragsters, nostalgia funny cars, and stock / super stock guys. I "Think" it's also free for the car cruise guys. Check out their site, there is a link in my thread on the topic.

If the weather doesn't turn into a rain out I may be there in my Z06, although I'll be on old dead street tires so I'm not expecting any earth shattering times.

Yes tonight. I will be watching the weather closely though because if I see a supercell moving in I will not chance getting hailed on.

Bracket racing, Box is "Top" cars with electronics (delay box), No box is everything else.

It breaks my heart that you are not racing a FORD there. That is all I have ever seen you race!

Yeah, because those Z06s are such a step down from a Mustang.

Well, it is storming badly here as I type, so I will be sitting this one out, again. Maybe next week the weather will agree.

There was only one small band on the radar and it was sunny by 6:05. Being they waited till 5:15 to cancel wish they would have waited a little longer
