Good thing I bought new rear control arms

Spent all day replacing my rear control arms, welding up the lower torque boxes and replacing my h-pipe that had both cats blown out. Lower torque boxes were suprisingly in good shape considering the amount of 6 grand slick laucnhes I had last year. Driver side lower had a slight tear and was just starting to get out of shape. So that was caught in time. Uppers are perfect and I didn't attempt to do those since the pinion seal leaks some and gear lube is everywhere on body.

As for the LCA and UCA's. The lowers were UPR Pro-series, rear bushing was siezed to arm and was pivoting on bolt and rod ends on front had alot of play. So those I replaced with Steeda Hardcore lowers, man these are nice and car is much quieter.

The uppers well those were the shockers. They are Granatelli double adjustables(how I regret ever buying his products). Driver side had just started to crack about half way around weld for the threaded insert. Passenger side was only staying together by the added reinforcement plate that was on them. The front part of the main body was pulled forward 3/16". the weld for the threaded insert was completely cracked in front and back. The top reinforcement plate was bent upwards due to the arm failing and that was all that was holding arm together from coming apart. I replaced these with Steeda double adjustables with rod-ends on front. I will have pictures up of these bad arms monday. I can't even imagine if my car made more power what would have happened to these arms.

H-pipe is just a Mac offroad unit that I cut up and welded in some Catco cats. I guess I will see if these survive a season of drag racing. The dynomax ones on my other pipe, one made it half the season and the other made it to the end of the season.

Thanks Lou for having those arms in stock as that was a spur of the moment purchase to get rid of some noisy arms

Yep I will be there. Only other thing that needs replaced is rear end gears before I even think of going down track. I have 4.10's that are beat(broken ring gear teeth) and will be using 4.30 or 4.56's.

    Me hard on cars......
