    T56 swap,, FUN FUN

So we started tearing my cobra apart and kept running into snags. Lucky for us we had PLENTY of work to do!

    T56 swap
    New clutch
    Drink a beer
    New springs
    New subframe connectors
    Drink a beer
    Change gears
    Drink two beers

Well, springs are in, trans is down, clutch is down (decided to get stock flywheel cut instead of swapping it out), Diff is out and almost back together (just want a third opinion before putting the cover on). Decided to wait till on all fours to do the subframe connectors. 0Hopefully, tomorrow night it's back together!!! Then on the trailer to get alligned!

ONE QUESTION,,,,, what is the solenoid on the side of the shifter base (on the transmission). Is this the same as GM's "skipshift"??? and what do I do about it as the '99 harness has no connector for this???

    Pics of the weekend!

if the 6speed is the same as the Fbodys the soloniod on side of shifter base is reverse lock out

the soloniod forward from thta is the skip shift
the plug on the right side of trans should be reverse lights
and plug under teh shifter is VSS if same as fbody t56

Reverse lights, and VSS are both there and plugged in. this solenoid is on drivers side in line with where the shifter tip contacts all the shift forks. So I thought Reverse lockout" or "skipshift". didnt think the cobra T56 had either!
