Fuel line spring lock fitting

Anyone have any good tips on getting the MFR unhooked from fuel rail. I tried two different tools and for some reason it just won't come apart. Never had issues with it before.

I have used an open spark plug box, a small hose clamp that I took the screw mechanism off, some other misc items. Most times I use the spring lock tools or the white nylon open ones. I even have a couple other types of pliers made for these type of lines as well. Sometimes they are a real bitch. What are you using to separate it?

try pushing it together first then insert spring tool. sometimes that helps.

I was gonna suggest this....also I have had good success w/ the X shape ones that pivot in the center. Way more durable.

Tried pushing together. I will have to try something thinner to get under spring.

Found problem to be with lil tool itself. Guy on another forum had same issue of tool not closing enough. Massaged opening with knife and it worked perfect once it closed up more.
