about once a month or so my starter would grind, and do it 2 or 3 times til i drifted the car back or forward, needless to say after inspecting the flexplate today, i found a few rounded off teeth and a hairline crack.
I looked on ebay called ford, looked at 50 resto cannot find a damn flexplate anywhere! and for some odd reason the one on the lincoln does not match up
and i thought the mechanic was crazy when he told me the rear engine noise (sounded like bad bearings) was a bad flywheel.
