    project --overkill--

I had a thread started in "out in the garage" But I would like to start new thread on my project. I'm mounting a Blower on a 5.0 engine and so far it's coming along I think pretty good had some problems to figure out but it looks like everything is going to work out.

I'm not sure what numbers I will have The engine that the blower is setting on is a spare engine just in case I need it. The motor that this will be going on is in the car with a kenne bell on it I'm not sure about the numbers on that set up ether, But know it runs really good with a little boost.

For now I need to figure out how to get the heater tubes that run back towards the
heater core on this set up. The hole in the intake was to small so I re taped it to the correct size. Now the tubes won't fit under the blower. I'm going to try re bending them to fit. --I want to keep the heater working--

And where the high pressure line comes out of the compressor it runs right into
the blower. I'm thinking I can take out the top mounting bracket bolt and sort of "roll"
it over to the drivers side 6" or 8" and then I will have room for a hose of some kind
to work. --I want to keep the air conditioning working---

Looking good oldfox! I'm glad you decided to keep this car. Definitely going to be neat once you're done. What are you going to do with the Kenne Bell?

I'm not really sure I might just hang on to it and do this in sutch away
that it would be easy to switch back if I want to.

Got some stuff done today and created some more problems at the same time.
I got the heater tubes re bent so they fit under the supercharger intake but where
outflow tube goes into the intake it is right up against where one of the spark plug wires come out of the distributor.

I took out some of the bolts and the air conditioner compressor looks like it will
swing out past the blower just fine but to tell for sure I need to find an old hose
somewhere for a test fit-( I'm thinking I can use a stock hose )

Also made a bracket for the throttle cable I'm not going to make a place for the cruise control cable until it's set up in the car --that should be easy--
I measured the fuel injection set up where the cable bolts up and the place where the cable attaches to the bracket is the same distance. The ball that snaps into the cable end should need to go right in the center the of the arm on the back carburetor.

where the discharge tube comes out of the intake it is only 1/16 from where one of the spark plugs outlet is on the distributor. I'm either going to re tap the tube and try to get it go deeper into the intake. Or chop some of the top and braze it.
No big problems just little stuff that makes you say WTF

Making the bracket for the throttle cable was a snap. I made two piece in case any adjustment is needed. I'll make a place for the cruise control cable to hook up after
    it's in the car.
    You guys like so far?

This is how far I might swing the air compressor out. I did it this way for the kenne bell and was able to use the stock hose.--had to bend it a little--I should have room to get the hose under the blower then behind the alternator and to the condenser core. This project really isn't hard if you take it one thing at a time
If you stand back and look at all of it it's sort of scary to think of all the stuff that won't fit.
I'm not going to run the air pump or a pulley I think I'll just route the belt a little different
somewhere I got to find an old hose for test fit. --I'm keeping the air for sure--
