Turbo 427 NA engine dyno guess

FINALLY this thing will be on the dyno Sunday for NA break-in with a carb.

    Here's the combo:
    427" SBF using following parts:

    FRPP SVO W-351 4-bolt block 2.75 mains
4.125 bore custom Diamond turbo pistons tool steel .927 pins Hellfire rings
4.00 stroke (mystery forged unit but a very quality piece--guess is Bryant)
6.20 Lentz steel rod 2.0 journal ARP 2000 bolts
    9:1 compression/Cometic head/intake gaskets
240cc TFS HP heads from Ed Curtis FTI 8mm 2.08/1.6 valves (EV8) with PAC LSx small diameter springs/Ti retainers (look awesome)
Edelbrock Glidden Super Victor 4500 intake converted to EFI with port matching plenum blending
    Probe 1.7 shaft rockers
Smith Bros. 3/8" .116 wall pushrods
Custom billet core hydraulic roller cam from Ed 238/244 on 115 .600/.600
    Morel link HR lifters
    Melling select HV pump
    Stef's custom oil pan
    ATI balancer
    JW wheel

Engine will be dyno'd with injectors plugging bungs and using a 1050 Dominator carb (to fit intake).
Doing this to make sure rings are set and everything pulls clean over 7000rpm.

Last version of this motor was more mild (CNC Vic Jr heads/Vic Jr intake/sl. smaller HR cam) and made about 520s/520s break-in without power tuning and was done by 6200.
Will be using same builder/same calibrated Land & Sea engine dyno and have old dyno sheets to compare.

I'm looking for 600hp NA and clean pulls through 7200rpm.

So, what are your HP/TQ quesses?
I will send a small prize if someone gets exact HP.
Should have vid and pics next week.
Wish me luck, haven't had much so far with this rebuild.

    Good luck with it!

I'm guessing 587 HP on the break in carb (assuming it pulls out there).

Made 548.8hp@5800 and 540.9@5000 with poor power pulls.
On the only 7000rpm pull we made it made within 4hp from 6100-6900rpm.
Not that it was unexpected, but 9:1 compression and a small cam does not like a large intake and an 1150 Dominator.
The dyno A/F guage broke earlier in the week and the engine never really loaded well and was lazy likely due to poor carb signal.
Good news it is broken-in and had no problems, but not very productive from a data standpoint.
I'm a bit disappointed because I suggested to the builder early on that we probably should have a 4150-4500 adapter to run a smaller carb but that was ignored.
I guess if I wanted to know true NA numbers, I needed a regular SV and a 4150 carb, but in the end, it is built for a turbo and it better be good for that, I am confident it will be.
I'll get some pics and a vid up later in the week, its been a long day.

550hp on 9:1 with 427 cubes is still a nice piece for sure....I think the dommy would make more peak power than a 4150 unit....

The good news is that the engine seems to be in correct working order after the break-in.

A well tuned Dominator I would have thought too, but this 1150 unit was originally built for a 13:1 570" motor, maybe it was just too big. The 1050 unit he had was a mystery piece, we did put it on for the one 7000rpm pull and it was down on torque from the 1150, but the HP still peaked around 5800 but held that peak close to 6900.
It was weird, basically the dyno would load the motor and just the velocity and cam signal wasn't there yet so it would struggle and then take off but still not a clean pull.
Overall everything is fine, just disappointing not to see the engines true power potential NA. But, that is more time/money/borrowed parts for a moot point.
Its a turbo engine and should love boost.
Getting delivered to Street Lethal today and the turbo will be there by the end of the week.

Yeah, by disappointment I guess I just mean I like as much data as possible and to spend the money on a dyno break-in but not get true power capabilty wasn't what I was hoping for.

This makes up for it though---baddest cast 88 available:

    http://www.workturbochargers.com/ind...mart&Itemid=53

Being shipped out from Reed to Street Lethal today, last of the pre-production units made. We went with the 1.0 housing as it should make the best average power 4000-7000rpm, which should be the launch to trap range

whoops didn't see this happened already. still damn stout numbers though. but dynos are heartbreakers. besides with low compression that is fantastic IMO. the important goal was to break motor in. just worry about the end goal don't look and scrutinize everything. i had a motor that made 300hp on 8psi. with low compression. once we turned the wick up it came to life. 18psi got the motor a hhair shy of 700. i know peanuts in comparison to this build but same concept.
