PRP SUCKS!!!......
I just wanted to post in this thread lmao
Then u would have to have a defintion of street car. Some people say that a car with sticky tires isn't a street car, if it doesn't have all creature comforts its not a street car, a gutted out car isn't a street even if it drives there. So for one person turn someone anyway just because there car isn't considered a street car to them would bt messed up.
Cuz the defintion of a street is matter of opinion not a matter of fact.
I persoanally would love to see a true street event up there. Or have one every week or once a month.
Prp tried that, it was like the fld's but it was a fail because it was 1/8 mile, my opinion on the way they run prp is like this, they run it like they work there ,meaning they dont care if its closed due to rain. They should run it like they own it and wanna make money
I agree which seemed to be different now that the owner is at the most of the time. Not this past TNT but the one before it, it rained right before the gates opened and they opened anyway and dried the track and guess what. Less then 40 cars showed up and the track lost money big time. So Im thinking thats why they canceled this week.
Probably because usually if it's raining in columbus ohio PRP typically closes (at least thats how it used to be), so when it rained last week no one showed because no one believed it would be open. Now fast forward to this week with threatning weather. Since they had a T&T last week alot of people figured they would have one this week so alot more people had showed up. I can assure you there were more than 40 people in line before the gates even opened. The bigger problem is the text alert system thats supposed to keep racers informed BEFORE the gates are closed while your sitting in line. If they are considering closing they should send a text alert before hand to keep everyone informed as to what they are doing, or considering to do.
i'm pissed too prp should be able to keep it from raining on thurdays nights

i say we all pitch in and build our own track..that would be bad ass
I went yesterday to the MO-POWER event and they were done racin at like 6, now I know it started earlier and we didn't get their till like 2 but WTF?!? No gamblers race, grudge matches or TnT!?!?!? It was perfect and beautiful the whole rest of the night out till we ended up leavin around 9-10! If they would loose money on certain days WHY in the hellll would they not be racin on a perfectly grreat night and make up for it!?!???

I agree with you a 100%. The text alert system is great but unfortunatly its only as good as the venue using it. That whole night could have been handled better. I wasnt there so I cant really say what went wrong. PRP usually has no problem canceling early. That has been a complaint for years. Now they cancel the last minute and that is a problem but could have possibly been avoided. IDK maybe they got rain close to opening time, or earlier but thought it would have dried more but didnt idk the reason. I can tell you they took a beaten the previous TNT so im sure they will be cautious to try that again.
Anyone going to go this week 6/23 weather permitting? I've been trying to go for 2 weeks now and like others have said, if there is even a slight chance of rain I don't waste the time or gas.

Awesome!
PRP is damned if they do, damned if they don't. They had the reputation for canceling, to quote an earlier post. if there was rain in Columbus, Ohio. So now they wait until rain actually falls from the sky, and they get blasted for it. Had they canceled, I'm certain there would have been at least one post saying "It was nice here in Butler! Those @#$%holes!" and a second post would have backed it up saying, "Yeah, it was nice here too in Connellsville!"
Brett, on weekends like this, the IHRA Pro AM, etc, it's a track rental essentially, and the control is by whoever is renting it. So, it was MoPower's call on whether or not to do any additional racing. If they would have, it still would have been Mopar only, for the event participants.
