How to show your Mustang when selling it on Ebay/ Craigslist

There is somethings that bother me when people are selling a car on Ebay or Craigslist. You are trying to get a good buck for a car and you only put a picture looking at the front of the car. No good side views, only the front. Second, I can always tell when someone in their 20's is selling a car because they take a picture of a sub-woofer in a car. Show me the ride, not pictures of your car's nose or subwoofer.

Most of the time that is done because the cars are piles of shit. I don't even go look or call about a car unless the ad has some concept of the english language, punctuation, and decent pictures. Same when I am selling something, if the email reads like a 12 year old wrote it, I don't even reply.

Right on! I follow the same principles dealing with just about anything. If you want to be a proud American who doesn't have to read and write Spanish, then learn the language.

Another thing that gets under my skin is when the car is dirty. If your trying to sell a car wash it and vaccume it out please. I was looking for a truck on CL about 5 years ago and saw one with trash inside and mud on it. I agree age is a big factor as well.

Almost as annoying as the tire kickers that come on here in the classifieds and tell people how nice their ride is with no intent to buy.

Man, if I had the cash, this would be sitting in my driveway tomorrow! Nice ride though!

something like that is usually how it goes

I agree that quality pictures and a description that appears to be written by someone other then a 3 year old really helps sell a vehicle.

Those guys are also being nice and bumping the threads. But it does get excessive.

I agree that some posts in the for sale threads don't add any value. But when someone compliments a car that is for sale because they have seen it in person, have actually driven the car, or have met the owner, I think it is very helpful. The key is that the thread doesn't get hijacked and taken so far off topic to the degree where the seller has to open a new thread.

Post #6. You are not immune to it either. So please don't be so critical of others.

This wasn't the only one, just the first "bump" I found.

Yep, ever since reading the thread I pasted I do my best to not post. Some people just have to do it in every one they come across for some reason.

What really pisses me off is when people take pictures of only the nice looking sides of the vehicle as if your not going to see all the problem areas when you go look at the vehicle anyway. That just wastes the seller/buyers time. I'd rather see pictures off the problem spots more than anything..

Off topic anyway since the title says ebay/CL.

I really can not remember a bad post on here. I was referring to Craigslist #1 followed by Ebay #2. I mean if the point is to sell it, then promote it right.

I just want to see what you all feel is worth the buck when you go to sell it. Good pictures tells a story.

I may be one of the guys that bumps an add because he really likes the car and complements on it. I am stuck driving in a car homeless people would not sleep in (except for my Mustang) because I have two kids in college. Tuition has not helped me out but that does not mean I did not appreciate a nice ride for sale!

Here is a 86GT the Columbus Craiglist. Wow, I really want to call you and tell you what a hot looking quarterpanel your stang has

Seriously, why would someone waste the time in calling. From what is shown, the quarter panel is nice. The pictures of cars in the garage with stuff all around them crack me up.
