Can I add an aux jack

Hey guys,

Can I add a Aux jack to my stock head unit in my 03 GT? Ive done some searching on MM and goggle as well. Seems like everything I find is discontinued or expensive. I would like to get a new head unit eventually, but not right now. Id like to get a touch screen style to update the interior.

Right now I have FM/AM transmitter and the sound quality and volume are effected.

Anyone have any ideas for around 20 bucks?

If the stock head unit has an aux input you're golden. If it doesn't, you might be able to wire it in somehow... Good luck.

Yeah I pulled the unit awhile ago, because the CD player doesnt load. I guess that is common for the Mach to do this. I didnt see any Aux jack on the back of the unit.

For 80 bucks, I might as well save up for a new head unit with the jack.

+1 I wouldn't buy that shit from WalMart. I loved my old Kenwood and Pioneer head units.

I use my MP3 more than CDs, thus the Aux jack. I am curiour what CDs are stuck in there from the guy who had it before me.

Rip that changer apart! It's junk anyway, I hate mine. You might as well search for a used double din or something with an aux jack. After being able to play my iPhone through my stereo, I'll never go back to not having it.

I hear ya. My rental car right now has the jack and I love it. Not looking forward to going back to good ol' 88.1.

+1 After driving many cars with iPhone cables and AUX jacks, it sucks getting into the Cobra and not being able to listen to the music on my phone or talk on the phone through the car speakers.

And MP3 > CD. I haven't used CDs in years.

I'd like to put an aftermarket head unit in it but I guess it's a pain in the ass with the Mach 460.
