    Worst looking part ever?

Just ordered a new Trick Flow Box R upper intake manifold from Summit. Fedex delivered it today and the finish on it is terrible. The powdercoat has bumps all over. They look similar to fisheye you would get in a paint job. I'm guessing they didn't bake it long enough. Also only the upper cover is powder coated the lower half of it is bare aluminum. I have 1 of their manifolds currently on my car and the diffenence is night and day. Do you guys think I should contact Summit, Trick Flow, or both?

Summit should take it back no questions asked. If you could, I would drive out and look one over before mail-ordering another one. Does look bad.

I just looked at my reciept and papers that came with it. It was shipped from TF in Talmadge. And the cover workmanship for 90 days. But i'll either have to pay shipping both ways or drive out. Not sure though if they'll let me pick 1 up from the factory

Summit will take it back no questions asked mostly. Call them, they will typically send a call tag. One this with summit is they are easy to work with if you arent happy.

Summit owns Trick Flow so they should be able to work it out ;)

Looks almost as bad as my '93 Cobra intake manifold that I bought years ago.

Summit took back a set of 4.10 gears my friend had in his car for a year.

Believe me, if you complain enough your shipping charges will be covered.

That's because it is produces from a sand casting. What you are seeing is the imperfections in the casting that the powder coat highlights for you.

I called Summit this morning and they are exchanging me a new manifold. With the upper lid being coated and the lower half being bare aluminum I figured I'm better off sending it back.
