My female cousin gets a job at UPMC parking cars! Good for her. Unfortunately for me she can"t drive a stick and I'm a bad teacher. I'm taking her to Somerset this weekend to learn on my dad's Altima.....wish me luck!

No offense but how did she get the job without knowing how. I would assume any parking attended would have to know how to drive both auto and manual.

I dont mean to be rude, but this is BS. Bish is 100% correct. I'm no millionaire, don't have a Porsche, but everything I do have I have worked hard for and take great care of it. The last thing I would want is some girl burning the clutch up in any of my cars... beater truck or new sports car. Tell your aunt to get her a job answering the phone!
Pics or lock it up!

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump
I don't think its a real big deal she got the job without being able to drive a stick.
Most everything I own is a stick and I do occassionally use valets. It doesn't bother me a bit to see one valet notice it's a stick and then run and grab a more experienced driver to move my car. And without fail, that's what they do. I've never seen a valet smoke out a clutch... not saying its never happened, but with so few stick-shifts on the road this is really a rarity.
I give the girl credit for taking a job knowing she'll have to learn something that probably 75% of today's drivers can't do.
5-spd training went well this weekend. I took her to a parking lot. Explained the basics, she got in the driver seat and pulled right out! So I said "Sweet, same concept in reverse and don't forget clutch in then brake! We go back to the house and my dad asked how it went. I explained all the aforementioned and people that can't teach do. Thanks Daddy for helping me out!!
