I think since I moved back to Pittsburgh in 07, the weather has been almost unbearablebly hot at the schenley park races. I still hope to make it at least one day. I always enjoy the races even when the weather is not optimal.
I'm planning on heading down tomorrow afternoon for the races.......I hope the rain holds off.

I'd say no sweat, but I'd be lying! Actually, the occasional clouds and breeze today made it not so bad. Tomorrow is supposed to be a degree or two cooler so that can only help.
But who cares? It's the Vintage... there will be 1500 cars there if we have 3" of snow! 2000+ otherwise!
Anyone see the TVR run?

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

We showed up Saturday around 12:00 and they wouldn't let us register the Mustang ???? So we parked which felt like 100 miles away in that nasty weather and by the time we made it "to the show" we where soaking wet from sweat! Once in the fields there was no relief except for a few crowded shady tree coverings around the track. It looked to be a fantastic showing and wish we could have actually enjoyed it .... but we left about an hour into it seeking a shower!
Most of the volunteers are great, but occassionally you'll run across an over-zealous, mis-informed helper.
I'm sorry you ran into one, but just to quell a rumor before it starts, your Mustang would have been absolutely welcomed at the American Car Registration Area because our charities would have gotten every penny of your $25 registration fee.
The PVGP likely had somewhere around 2200 cars on Saturday and over 2000 on Sunday... I haven't heard the final counts yet. Even if they manage to get 99% of the cars registered and parked properly, that still leaves 22 stories like yours, but I hope you'll try again next year.
Sorry to hear you weren't able to get parked. Like Greg said - you would have been welcomed with open arms into the American Car show. We were right across the street from the Shelby display, which was incredible. I hope that you try again next year - and if you do, shoot me a PM ahead of time and I'll answer any and all questions you might have so you have no uncertainties on your way to the show. Also - next year the Shelbys will be parked within the American show as they normally are. Take care. Ron

What happen to the 2011 Spotlight Show- The Cars of Carroll Shelby:
http://www.pvgp.org/pvgp/cwp/view.asp?A=3&Q=277294 ???
CAR: 2012 GT500 Black w/Grabber Blue Stripes (Sold)
RECENT CAR: 2008 GT500 Red w/White Stripes
PREVIOUS CAR: 2007 GT Black/Black
MODS: VMP 2.59 Pulley & Tune, JLT Induction Tube, Airaid Blue SynthaMax Filter, Painted STB Brace, FRPP Springs, BRM Adjustable Panhard Bar, Borla S-Type Exhaust, 20% Window Tint, Speed Dawg Shifter, NXT Hood Lifts, CDC Dead Pedal, Kicker Speaker/Sub Upgrade, Cobra Floor Mats, 2013 Splitter, SVTPP Wheels & Tires, Cervini Tinted Taillights, V-Led 5K Fog Lights, etc.
They had a fantastic turnout - Shelby cars of all years. Real GT40, real competition 289 Cobra with webers, lots of early Shelbys - each year was represented. Plus a lot of newer Shelby GT500s and Shelby GTs. It was a great display.
The sounds of the GT40 and original Cobras driving past for the parade lap before the racing was amazing. You just can't see & hear cars like those at "regular" shows and cruises!
