    81 Cobra

I just picked this car up recently. It's an 81 cobra with 49,000 original miles. Car is completely stock and for the most part original. At some point it did have a repaint that is of pretty good quality but is an older job with the some nicks in it and needed a good buffing when i got it. The car came from fla and is completely rust free. The color is Med Bittersweet Metallic over Black. I've seen a few of these in the bright bittersweet but this is the first i've seen in this color. It's got the stock 255 with a c4 and the stock 2.26 open rear. Ya, real powerhouse here. LOL Here's a few pics.

Wow what a creampuff! That's the quintessential power starved 80's "muscle car."

    I love the early 4 eyed foxes/

Thanks guys. I have to agree, it is everything a late 70's early 80's "muscle car" was meant to be. A sticker package. LOL I love the 4eyes and have been looking for something that wasn't so common and a little different. This definately fits the bill and is a very solid, clean car to go with it.

I have every intention of keeping the car stock/original, but can't say that a few ideas havent' gone thru my head. One idea is a 347 stroker, but basically dressing it with all the stock externals so that you wouldn't be able to tell anything was done to it. Second idea is pretty much 03/04 cobra drivetrain front to back and then adjust the stance a bit with some nice wheels/tires. One of the other members over on 4eyedpride has a 79 pace car that is done in sort of restomod way and looks sweet. We had both commented that my 81 would looks sweet sitting like his pace car. He ended up doing a photoshop of it which looks like this:

Can't say I dig it on the ground like that, but some big wheels tucked in would look very sweet.

Also, full 03/04 (or any mod motor) driveline would be cool, as well as with an IRS>

yeah his car is sweet. haven't seen it in person, but just from his build thread on 4eyedpride it's awesome. He commented on the cobra pics over there and I jokingly said something about photochopping the cobra to look like it. Next thing i know he posted the pic.

Very nice ride. Car would look good on air bags. Ive been following 69clarks build on svtperformance for a while now, that car is some good inspiration.
