    Mustang fatality in Westmoreland County

    http://www.postgazette.com/pg/11191/1159572-100.stm

Saw this in the Post Gazette today. 28 year old guy in a 1987 Fox Mustang.
According to the article speed was a factor.
Just thought I'd throw it out there to see if anyone knew who it was and as a reminder to others to be safe.

On another local website, a member knew the driver, but said the car belonged to the guys cousin.

I can't believe that anyone in this day and age does not wear a seatbelt.

I don't know how built, (fast), the car was, but it's never a good idea to let someone drive a built car who's not used to doing so.

Have to wear your seat belt. 99 times out of 100 you're in way better shape after an accident.

I'm not ganging up on you Lou but take a look at this vid ... if this guy was going any faster he would have ended up under his car.

I enjoy reading you post so please wear a seat belt ... please!

Back on topic ... it's sad to see a young man die in such a way. I have a friend who lost a family member a few weeks ago from an accident in his Polaris RZR. He wasn't wearing his safety harness, the RZR flipped and he ended up under the rollbar. He died in front of his young daughter with a broken neck in the middle of the woods. Sad...sad sad!

So it took over a year to chime in with the stats on the car? 800hp Fox is impressive, but I'm sure he would of rather had the stock 225hp.

I was told he traded his white dodge for it and they said the motor was dynoed at 800hp or something close to it.

Did he not have a lifted white Ford at some point? If I'm thinking of the same person, but I used to hang out at a garage in elizabeth with a guy named Ryan and pretty sure I met randy there a few times..this is an old thread though.
