Hold on to your warranties 5.0 boys

Looks like Ford is setting the stage to void your warranties ...

Maybe it's me but if I decide to play with a tune or add a power adder to a car. Then go about blowing it up I'm not about to take it to a dealer to get fixed under warranty.

    Warranty

You would be surprised at the issues we go through. A few years ago we had a diesel truck with a crackled block and bell housing in looking for free engine and trans until they pulled up the video at the track.
Also, just had a new 2010 superduty last week complaining of trans problems. Found the video on line again where they state the guys name pulling the sled at the fair with his new truck. Note" smoked the trans"
    How smart is that............................

So what happens when you are running the Ford FRPP parts? Such as their ProCal tune, catback, or even their 500hp Whipple kit that supposedly gets a warranty on powertrain?

I think the 624 horse whipple voids the warranty, but the 500ish kit does not? Not 100% sure though - I bet jaa55 knows...

I was under the assumption with the 520hp Whipple kit, the factory warranty gets taken over by FRPP, but you are still covered.

Also I assumed if you did just a basic bolt-on car with FRPP ProCal tune and 3" exhaust, you would still have a warranty since they are Ford parts.
