    Exclamation NFL Lock-Out ??? Enlighten me !!!

I haven't read every freaking article about this and I am, by NO means, a union expert, but can somebody explain to me WTF is going on?

I am really close to firing the NFL and only watching college football this season. Yeah, I know I'm not going to hurt anybody by "locking out" the NFL on my personal televison set, but it's just principal at this point.

I mean really? really? really? What I see is a bunch of (God given) talented, egotistical, overpaid cry-babies that want millions of dollars handed to them during their tenure in the game, then for years afterwards. I'm no idiot, but if I'm lucky to land a job making 3,4,5 or even 10 million bucks a year, I think I'm going to find a way to save/invest some for my retirement. Hell, I'm doing OK making 1/100 of a percent of that money.

I work at a for-profit company and if they have a GREAT year, I don't feel like I am entitled to any of that extra money. I agreed to my salary the year before and I'm ok with that. I would never dream of telling my boss, "Hey, looks like we had a helluva year, where's my cut of the 'extra' income?"

    WTF?

Again, somebody enlighten me !!! What am I missing here?

I don't belong to a Union, but I don't really find it hard to understand. I will agree with others though, you wouldn't fit into one too well, lol.

I would a assume 95% of this website are conservative republicans, so you probably won't get too much information here, other than people calling the players greedy cry-babies that are ruining the NFL.

The NFL doesn't need a lock out, it needs to lock up most of it's employees.

Hate to say it but unions are one of the main reasons our country is so effed up!!! Get rid of the unions, fire the assholes that think they should get paid to hide and steal, keep the good honest workers(which there would be almost nobody working) and give some incentives. Then watch the country take a serious turn around. Then go to the prisons, take the death row inmates or lifers and send them to afghanistan. If they want to kill, let em kill those people. 2 things would happen and possibly a third. 1, our jails would be so much less populated, they would get to kill people that should be killed and maybe the cost for running a jail that gets kicked to the tax payer (i.e., a non union honest worker) would be seriousley cut. Everybody wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see you know I am 100% correct. When you have to fight to keep some Knuckleheads job because they got caught sleeping in a hidden room or tucked in an alley taking a nap, its total bs. What morals does anybody have anymore? And they all want more without putting fourth any more effort.

When you have to fight to keep someone's ability to pay their mortgage or put food on the table because some knucklehead manager has a hard-on for you that day is total bs.

Destroying the rights of the middle class....great idea.

The NFL is like any other company. If they have a great year they don't feel like anyone other than their investors is entitled to that money. However if they don't have such a great year they feel that their employees are subject to downsizing and pay cuts.

So you feel that its ok to go hide and sleep while on the clock and stealing from the company that hires you? If said employee was really that dependant on the job then he/she should have applied themselves in a more proper manner. I guess stealing is the american way though now isn't it?

Also, what "right" is it that allows people to steal from a company? I, as well as many other hard working non union people on this site, would absolutely love to hear it. Please enlighten us sir.

Right, because utility workers, railroaders, and airline pilots all sleep in an alley all day.

The right to negotiate a fair wage based on economic conditions, the right to refuse to subject yourself to dangerous working conditions and the right to fair benefits to protect you and your family are too much to ask for some companies.

Utility workers are the number one offenders!!!! I have many railroader friends and my soon to be ex wife is also a railroad employee. And yes, the ones in the field and terminals, they hide just as much. But when you make 80-100k per year I guess that allows you to sleep and hide.
