My buddy (not a member here) has a 02 Roush Stage 2. About a week ago he was running it hard and devloped a pretty bad miss which he found out today is the piston broke and messed up the head. While his mechanic was showing us the damage he stated he found a spring laying down in behind the motor. Spring is about 1 inch in diameter and was on the passenger side. He stated he thinks its from some sort of vacumm port?? This "thing" is located on the passenger side near the top of the intake/supercharger. I should have taken a pic of it but wasn't thinking. I'm not familiar with this allen s/c setup at all and was wondering if anyone here knew what this was. IDK really how else to describe it. Looks like it has something to do with vacumm,etc.
