Milan NMRA race July 22 & 23

Scott Rod had a thread on this that must of got lost with the server issue.

Anyway, The NMRA is at Milan Michigan July 22 (Friday) and 23 (Saturday). This is a two day event with a lot of the racing in the evening for the heads up classes. I'm heading out to race True Street, and should have a couple of other 2.3 cars with us (all True Street).

Cool deal Bob, we are leaving mid afternoon tomorrow but will be at the track Friday when they open. Hope we get some time to BS this weekend, never works out, but we can hope ;)

Congrats to Fast Dave Flanders, King of True Street ...



Also Congrats to J's brother Josh for the runner up finish (I will get pictures uploaded when I get home) ...

My weekend sucked, one clean pass on a test run, then the car would not shift the rest of the weekend ...

One of the other cars with us (Jeff McCool) won the 12.00 index with a really nice package of runs with his 5.0 stick shift car.

The other 2.3 car with us (Jim McCool) had a turbo issue and didnt make the passes although his test passes was all high 10's and would have been right on the 11.00 index.

It was freaking hot, and when it wasn't freaking hot it was freaking raining so we struggled to get anything in. Still a great weekend with the NMRA guys.

It was hot and humid, rained, more hot and humid, and actually they had to bump the rest of the fast eliminators into today becasue of the lighning last night, but yeah it was a great weekend at a great track ... Milan and their people there (line up guys where great), as well as the NMRA people all treated us like they wanted us there ....

True Street is a good time. Got this with a stock 5.0 on street tires.

In spite of the weather, it was still a great weekend and I will go back there next year. In some ways, at least the rain gave us more chance to hang around and BS some. They could keep the heat ;)

The trans is going to be an issue the rest of the year. I'm going to test on a different index as a back-up ;)

I hope you can make it at least part of Columbus. We are still trying to twist Dave's arm into coming out for it, at a minimum I will be there with the McCools and a few other 2.3 guys.
