If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump
Thing I love about baseball is it's totally old school.
No clock. The other guy always gets a chance to even the score.
If they ever messed with baseball to "modernize" it, that would kill it for me!
The thing I hate about Baseball is no clock... Foul ball, foul ball, foul ball, I'm not gonna pitch cus I'm gonna check the guy on first for 5 minutes.
Boring as hell!

Saying though... how is that even remotely interesting to watch? It's not about paying attention, it just has no entertainment factor (as sports should). Plus any exciting players in the game I feel are fake because they're all juiced. The nostalgia and excitement of Baseball has long been gone.

I'm just sayin, it's charm is that it's from another time!
Today more than ever, it's nice to chill and watch a baseball game.
It has more strategy involved than any other sport!
When the action comes, it is exciting!
I can walk around Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas and find plenty of people to say they same thing about INSERT SPORT HERE.
It is about what you like to watch and/or enjoy. Trying to explain why something is interesting to watch is pointless. Why anyone likes or dislikes something is up to them. It might not make it right for you, but it doesn't make it wrong for them.
It is nice to see the Pirates doing well. Last time I was interested in baseball was very late 80's to early 90's. I have caught a few games on TV and found them to be good to watch. They have done well so far in putting the NFL out of peoples minds. When normally everyone is ready for the Steelers so we can forget about another crap baseball season.

As of last night at the World Of Outlaws they announced the Pirates were in 1st place, ohhh yeeeahh! If we can just get'em to win the World Series we then can call our city the City Of Champions for suuure!!!

The Steelers have spoiled us, both recently, with 2 wins in 3 Super Bowls in 6 seasons, and in the last 40 years. We consider the playoffs a birthright in Pittsburgh. The Pens have been the same since the late '80s, with the exception of the little dry spell before Sid. It was actually the same in the '70s for the Pirates, with 2 World Series titles and a couple more division titles. I love the game, and love what Hurdle has done for this team, in spite of management. Ray Searage deserves a lot of credit as pitching coach as well, moving the team ERA from MLB worst last year to 6th best so far this year. Going to the games now, people actually are into the game, instead of just drinking beer and yelling stupid shyt.
PaceFever, I'm with you, strategy, charm, no clock to worry about it, etc.
Did players juice? Sure did. But, given the Pirates record in the juice era, I don't think we have to worry about tainted Buccos. :D
Great article last month by Ron Cook in Post Gazette, about how lucky we are to have Tomlin, Blysma, and Hurdle coaching here. You could also throw in Dixon for Pitt hoops, IMO.

I have tried to not care about the pirates after 18 losing years, but I will just always root for the bucs and care about how they do. It must be in my blood, just like the pens and steelers. GO BUCS.
