QCMP starts big car time trials at 3pm, and Street Legal runs last, so your first time trial (you get 2) will be around 4pm. Decide what time you need to get there so you can pay, pit, get teched, unload the car, set it up (tires, timing, cool off, whatever you need to do, etc). It's going to be hot tomorrow, so burnouts really don't need to be long. Just spin them off for a couple of seconds to clean them off. Do not pull up to the tree!!! Watch some cars when you get there, to see where the prestage and staging beams are, so you have an idea of how far you have to pull up to activate those beams. The pic in this link shows the box between the lanes... notice the tree isn't even in the pic:
    http://quakercitymotorsportspark.com...cture+4183.jpg

Courtesy stage: turn your top bulb on, then wait for your opponent to turn his top bulb on (unless he did first, then it's your turn). Once both top bulbs are lit, go ahead and stage. Bump in slowly. The idea is to just be in enough to light the stage bulb. When the tree comes down, be staring at the third amber, and when it comes on, swap feet! Let off the brake, mash the gas! After 1320', let off the gas and coast a little, start applying the brakes, and keep in mind where the other car is. QCMP exits to the left only, so if you are in the right lane, make sure you know where the left lane car is. Don't cut him off. Stop at the ticket booth, get your time slip, and wait for the 2nd time trial, do it again. Round 1, dial what you think your car will run, and pay attention to the tree. If you're the slower car, your tree comes down first. If you're the faster car, your tree starts second.

Your seat belts must work (stock belts are fine). You must have a battery hold down (stock is fine). You must have a radiator overflow catch bottle (stock is fine). Helmet is required at 13.99, but always a good idea regardless of ET. Must be a lug nut on every stud. If you run slicks, driveshaft loop is required.

    Most of all, have fun!

Don't expect great times in this heat. Pay attention and don't let yourself get distracted. Be safe and have a great time!!

Make sure you stay WOT past the timing boards. The beam that stops your time is past them, but the first time I went i kept leaving off when I went past the boards and it doesn't help your ET!

If you are on street tires, wait at least until you clear the 60' beams before you activate your nitrous!
