Thought you car enthusiasts might get a kick out of this. This past winter I acquired my fathers Super8 reel-to-reel film from the late 1950's during his time in the Navy. It was stored in his closet for the last 50 years and it was VERY difficult to pry it from his grip.
I took the raw footage, had it converted to DVD, transferred it to my HD, cut it up, narrowed in on the good stuff, organized it the best I could, divided the film into two separate short films and made music videos with them. (film had no sound) It was a lot of fun putting it together.
The first video is of him and his buddies horsing around in his 1953 Oldsmobile Super 88 Convertible and Harley Davidson after arriving home at Pax River on leave.

The second video is the Argentia Newfoundland Naval Base which was was part of the Atlantic Barrier protecting North America from attack during the Cold War. They would fly 24 hours a day regardless of weather conditions. They were known as Willy Victor VW-13 aka Paul Revere flying the Lockheed Super Constellation. This was the AWAC before there was AWAC.
