How much is it to race True Street!? I look't it up even on the NMRA TS forum and it was varying. I was also wanderin if you red light during the three passes are you dq'd from that pass?! I didn't see anything about it in the rules and regulations book unless I missed it! Thanx guyz, I'll be goin for the 14sec average!

I think it's around $80.00. That gets you test and tune all day Friday, and the brackets Sunday too. It is a 400ths pro tree I think. If you see yellow before you leave it will be real hard to redlight. Hopefully I will get to PRP Thursday and see what the new car runs.

A red light DQ's the run ... reaction time does not matter so sit there until you know it's green .... If you can go red on a 4/10th pro tree, that's a feat.

???? I have never heard of an elapsed time starting with the tree, ever. Even the pro's in NHRA can win on a holeshot with a slower ET and a better reaction time.

Reaction time does not matter in true street at all because the results are the average of the elapsed times of the three runs. I have sat on the tree for seconds (to try to build more boost) and it has not affected ET. I now use my typical routine to stage that I use on a sportsman tree and am about .300 average on the pro tree. I would get killed with that if we was really racing, but I'm not changing my routine for the couple of times a year I run on that pro tree.

Okay. What you're saying seems to remove the DRIVER from the equation.

If the timers don't start at the same time then reaction time is not part of the competition.

Yes, reaction time does not matter, you'll see many of the fast TS guys sit there boosting or letting the other car leave first.

Alright guys, we mostly made it through the weekend, and this is coming up. My junk is about as ready as it's going to get, swapped gear this weekend to try something. Going to be loading up Thursday and will be out there Thursday night ...

I'm going. Got the Gears, Wheels and tires, GT brake swap, and full exhaust done. The torque converter is here and going in Tuesday. I can't wait till Friday to see what it runs.
