Skinnies on a Mach 1 or Cobra

Anybody running skinnies on a Mach 1 or Cobra? If so what size and what did you do to get them on? (Spacer/Grinding?) I was going to buy an old car, but bought a Mach 1 instead. I will switch to GT brakes if I need to. I was told you just have to switch the rotors and calipers with the bracket. Is this true? Thanks

The race star industries 15x3.75s fit and they make a 17x4, also ask cam99 he had drag lites on his, but I think spacers and studs.

Do the 3.75's fit the big brakes? I don't like the way the 17x4's look with 15 inch rears personally.

yep, check out there website, they have alot of pics if customers cars. I agree with the 17x4s unless you run a 17 rear also.

billet specialies street lites on a 2003 cobra here with the cobra brakes. 15X3.5 with a H@R 1 inch hubcentric spacer.. The spacer is needed to clear the cobra brakes.

Do the front wheels stick out with the spacers?

No they dont stick out, They might be flush with the front wheel well, but if anything I would say they are still inboard some. Really looking at it you wouldnt think it had a 1 inch spacer. I will post a pic here as soon as I resize a good one thats shows it.

I had bogarts on the front (the ones that look like draglites)that have the spacer welded in and long studs.

Got the wheel spacers from H&R. I think summit also carrys them though. They bolt to your lugs, then have lugs already installed in them. All you will have to do is trim the lugs on your car some so the wheel sits flush against the spacer, Its nothing major. All you have to cut off is the part of the stud that isnt threaded.

The rears are 15X8 with a 4.5 backspacing. I bought them that way cause the car was still irs when i put them on, then went solid a year later and didnt wanna buy new wheels. Had i known I was going solid I would have waited and bought 15X10s. But they still fit my hoosier QTP's really nice... they are 27X11.50X15

here is a link to H&R... Its what alot of cobra guys run including myself and I have never heard of a issue.. They are abit pricey but they work and arent some cheap scaru 10 dollar spacer. you would need the 25mm one..
