    Exclamation Possible FS: 351 C

My uncle has an old Ford van (that's shot) with a good 351 Cleveland in it. Perfect for a complete rebuild. Any interest here for one of these? The motor has a lot of highway miles on it from family vacations.

Any idea what the motor is worth before I start dropping $100 bills in front of him? I would like to rebuild it and throw it in my 95 GT or sell it. This is too good of a motor to scrap.

What year is the van? Sure it's not a 351m?

If it is a good running 351c 2v motor it's worth up to $300

With cam and bolt ons it will run like a 351w with Performer type heads.

They got a bad rap because in smogger trim they were dogs.

They still make great '70s truck motors with a cam/intake/headers.

They will run rings around any 351w truck motor.

    I disagree 100% having owned a 351m, 390 FE, and 400ci in three different 70's pickups.

They are low compression turds with poor oiling design and detonation prone piston design at .060 below deck...(or there abouts).

No sense arguing over this but I've built a few stout 351m motors. They were pigs
because the cams were retarded and had smog profiles. They're basically tall deck
351c 2bbl motors, and make good power with an RV cam, intake, headers. I have
beat the snot out of them off road and never blew one.
