Just got back from our first trip to Vegas and thought I'd share a couple shots. We stayed at Mandalay Bay and took a puddle jumper flight over the hoover dam and landed at the grand canyon.

also did an exotic car experience and got to drive a F430 around the road course at las vegas speedway

They didn't allow personal videos, however thankfully I skipped the in-car video you can purchase. I am better suited to straight line excelleration! I sucked pretty hateful at trying to corner at racing speeds, my instructor kept saying in a thick italian accent "you want to use the gas to much!" I did spring for two hot laps as a passenger with their track expert at full speed in a Skudira(sp?) That was freakin awesome.

It was cool, I was just completely out of my element. Managed to get it to about 120 on the one straight on the course. Seemed like a pretty tight course to me. The expert about made my ass pucker, he drove the living crap out of that car. Must have to put new back tires on it every couple days!

Cool pics Cam! If I ever get back to Vegas I'm gonna have to do that exotic car experience. Did you think it was worth while? You didn't miss too much on the Shelby tour. They're just back there bolting on parts and you can't even take pictures anyways.

i would recommend the car experience. would probably be extremely fun to someone with some roadrace experience, but even as a dragracer i had a good time. absolutely pop for the expert ride along. all the traction controls and so forth are disabled and he beats the shit out of the car. they had a bunch of lambo's there also as well as gt3 porsche, a nissan gtr, aston martin vantage, and an audi r8 to choose from.

None of the "stars" were there when we were there. We did take a picture in front of a cardboard cut out of them and I bought a chum lee t shirt:D

We ate one night at a steak place in Mandalay called strip steak. I had a butter poached 8 ounce Kobe Ribcap, baked potato, and truffle mac and cheese. OMFG was it good. They give you little cups of french fries with fancy sauces when you are seated that are fried in duck fat instead of oil. Really tasty also

Never made it to the Bellagio, it's on the agenda for next time! The least expensive car was the porsche and IIRC it's around 200 for 5 laps. The most expensive was around 400 for 5 laps. It goes up to around 1500 depending on how many different cars you drive and how many laps you want. The expert ride along is 100 for 2 laps, and the video is 80 I believe. http://www.exoticsracing.com/

Was our first, but not our last. I loved it. Went on a horseback ride out into red rock canyon and no kidding I would move out there in a heartbeat.
