He has light = 35%, medium = 20%, and dark = 5%. He can double-up for even darker if desired. Medium (20%) is similar to the OEM tint on the rear windows of trucks and SUVs...

Just got pulled over for my tint. I went with medium and the cop used the tester to see what % it comes out at. With a factory window and medium tint it measured 16%!!
was there factory tint on it before you had it tinted? Factory is 20 percent.
The law is, nothing is allowed on the windows, its really up to the officer if he will pull you over or not. I always run 5 percent cause if I'm going to get pulled over, it's going to be in style.

Someone told me this, not sure if it is true. Ford factory glass comes in somewhere around 93% (blocks 7% of light). If you put a 35 on and check it with a light meter it will test darker.

ford factory glass is tinted ever so slightly. It says so on the glass.

Correct. I got pulled over in Jefferson hills. I'm not a fan of 5%. Too dark for me. With ford factory windows and 35% tint you'll be around 30%. I think the average car is around 5??(blocking 5% of light)
Hmmm, the JHills police never hassled me for tint on my other cars....though I never had anything really dark.
