    2004 v6 mustang 3.9L

I was thinking about modding my 2004 mustang with a 3.9L v6, but wasnt sure about a tuner/chip. What would be the best rout for tuning the computer? should i buy a chip, or a handheld tuner?

dont have enough money for a supercharger. Would an "SCT 4-Bank Eliminator Chip" be a bad choice, or should i only buy a tuner?

What mods do you plan to have? You only need a "switch chip" type of system if you have parameters that can change in an instant and you need to react instantly or you're in a situation where you cant retune real quick using the handheld.

I was going to either get a cold air intake, or taking the snorcle off of the K&N intake thats on it now. And i was going to run 93 octane fuel on a tune, and also maybe end up putting a larger cam kit in it.

I would suggest a handheld. Besides the performance gains, they allow you to make changes yourself, without needing to have someone reburn a chip or reprogram anything. (Things like changing the speedo to match a different set of rear end gears.) Additionally, a handheld tuner can be used to read and clear engine codes should the need arise. The Bama one you linked to above, or an XCalibrator from SCT would be fine. Either will accomplish what you want.
