I was thinking about modding my 2004 mustang with a 3.9L v6, but wasnt sure about a tuner/chip. What would be the best rout for tuning the computer? should i buy a chip, or a handheld tuner?

dont have enough money for a supercharger. Would an "SCT 4-Bank Eliminator Chip" be a bad choice, or should i only buy a tuner?

would this tuner be a good one to purchase for the price? i am kinda new to modding cars.
I was going to either get a cold air intake, or taking the snorcle off of the K&N intake thats on it now. And i was going to run 93 octane fuel on a tune, and also maybe end up putting a larger cam kit in it.
Windstar swap ftw

I would suggest a handheld. Besides the performance gains, they allow you to make changes yourself, without needing to have someone reburn a chip or reprogram anything. (Things like changing the speedo to match a different set of rear end gears.) Additionally, a handheld tuner can be used to read and clear engine codes should the need arise. The Bama one you linked to above, or an XCalibrator from SCT would be fine. Either will accomplish what you want.
