3.552 is standard for all 4.6 and 5.4

im looking at hypereutectic piston on summit racing and dont want to spend a bunch of money on forged pistons.
I know you said the standard bored is 3.552 but these pistons are only offered in a 3.551 whats the deal?
they only have the expensive shit in
this is what i was looking at

can they still be used or?
Yes you can use them. .001" will give you a nice slip fit like the piston should be. The rings make up for the difference in size.
awesome thanks alot!
another question, sorry this is the first motor i ever did.
I bought piston rings, standard size cause i was going to re-use the old pistons before i noticed the teflon surface was worn out.
the oil rings and center rings fit on all pistons but the top compression ring was to thick to fit in the rail???
i checked over and over and these are the right rings. 1.5 1.5 and 3mm
i thought there might of been a difference between mustang and lincoln 4.6's but i get the same part number every website i look on.
1.5mm top and 2nd ring with 3mm Oil ring is the normal size. Sounds like the ring set you have is wrong. What are you doing with motor. Just a general rebuild?

thats what i thought for sure i got the wrong rings. I put the rings side the by side and the middle and upper ring are the same thickness.
Im wondering if ford used different pistons because first of all im using a 4.6 from a lincoln towncar.
granted its still the 4.6 i ordered rings for the lincoln NOT the mustang.
The top ring fits in the piston groove of the mustang, but not the lincoln.
I got new pistons on the way anyways so maybe that will clear this up
