Slicks

I am going to buy a set of slicks for my notch. What do you sugest? They will be going on a set of 15X9" wheels. They will be for the track (and maybe up the road late at night ).

If you do any street @ all, I'd go with those new MT drag radials that are out. or even the hoosiers. I run ET streets @ the track which are street legal, but driving on the road is terrible, feels like your on a cloud or bubble lol

If you are gonna stick with a 26" tall slick. M/T ET Drag 26x10x15

28x10.5x15 would be a lot of tire for the power ouput. A 28x9x15 M/T ET Drag actually is 27.3" in height. With that combo your contact patch will be damn near the contact patch of the 26" because of the height. Heard some good stuff about the Hoosier slick also.

I run M/T ET DRAG 26x10, I like them better then the Hoosier's I ran before them.

Hey Mike did you run the same size rim on both the M/T and the Hoosiers? What was the difference in the 60'??

IMO, you don't need tubes. You get into scrw in valve stems, and things like that. I also agree with the comment that the MT ET Street bias tires will feel looser.
Keep in mind if you drive a true slick on the street, you'll shred it up pretty good. I ran the BFG Drag Radials for 2 seasons, driving to and from the track every weekend without changing them. I don't like their design now, but even if it hadn't changed, I would have went to the MT Drag Radial anyway. I love them. I change tires at the track every week, but the couple times I have driven them on the street, they've been fine. I even drove on them to Quaker for Bracket Finals.

Joe, I did run the same rim and I think that the difference was about .03 in the 60'. I would spin the hoosier's a half turn.

I ran tubes for a couple of years. Now, run tubeless. Gotta check air press. more often when no tube is employed. Always went through Summit for slicks. They price match, so perhaps you could find em' cheaper somewhere else and comp them there.
