    2 new 13.0 stock LS-1 stick shift vids

    Pair of 13.0's in 2nd and 3rd pass ever in this stock LS-1

    My 99SS is a 6-speed stock LS-1 with 4.10 gears and Nitto DRs

    My track car is a Cobra, this is my fair weather DD and cruzier

    Just drove it again for the first time since December, felt real good after 3 mos

    These last two new original vids finish up my leftovers from 2006, only 7 total.

    Here are my second and third passes ever in my 99SS from Oct 8 2006. I tuned it on the backroads myself with HP-Tuners and it was working good that first track day ever.

    My first time to the track last year was for points, but without the Cobra, I used the SS to record these two 13.0's in NHRA Pro non-electric class on the last points race Sunday of the season. The second qual pass was 13.096 so I dialed a 12.98 and my first round elimination red light pass of 13.043 was after a real crappy burnout.

    This 13.0 2nd Qual beat my 13.2 1st qual! 13.096@106 *BIG* 35Mg

    2nd qual is a solid 13.0! Lower 320x240 Res

    I was going for a hole shot and missed by 1/100th! ran it out 13.043@107 *BIG* 46Mg

    Not a bad top end at 107mph! Lower 320x240 Res

    Next up, tuning the Cobra for NOS and the higher boost, can't wait and the vids should be pretty good too!

    here are the rest of my 2006 movies in the 99SS:

    ===============================================

    The last 13.0 was on 10/14/06 during Saturday Test-N-Tune *HUGE* 56Mg
    -or- Lower 320x240 Res

    First pass ever after street tuning it! 13.231@106 *BIG* 50Mg
    -or- Lower 320x240 Res

    No Gamblers action. Fighting tune issues in this pass! 13.337@102 *BIG* 43Mg
    -or- Lower 320x240 Res

    The SS is easier to drive than the Cobra, chasing the AFR in pass 4! 13.331@104 *BIG* 51Mg
    -or- Lower 320x240 Res

    No Gamblers action. Fighting tune issues in this second pass! 13.337@102 *BIG* 35Mg
    -or- Lower 320x240 Res

    ================================================

    The under axle anti-roll is installed, finally after waiting on Miller Race Cars (conn.) to ship me the parts for 7 weeks it is finally on there and looks very sweet, but I paid too much and wouldn't recommend it for the price.

    I finally have a solution for the LM-1/AFR gauge, I'm adding dual traditional gauges to the mix, one for each bank, I added another LC-1 sensor cable for the right bank and a LMA-3 to add boost, acceleration, RPM to the dual channel AFR datalog. That will use 5 out of the 6 channels on the LM-1, not sure what I will wire into the last one yet. Using a datalog device means I can save more than just AFR during an actual elimination race because I can't use my PC (not legal in NHRA). Frank is fabbing a air-vent delete piece out of Carbon Fiber to hold the two Hi-Vis Blue LED gauges plus my Raptor shift light, right where I want them at the top of the dash. It took quite a few late night idea sessions with a bottle to realize the LM-1 should be somewhere I can hit the record button and use separate serial gauges for the heads up display and quit cheaping out. Dual bright blue AFR gauges should give me all the info I need out of the corner of my eye to find a bad cylinder or plugged injector situation that a single O2 sensor can miss.

    Pictures soon and the Snake will be on the road for some street tuning within 2 weeks tops, the wait will be over soon.

    Still need to fab an over the top 3" dual exhaust after ordering the custom StainlessWorks mufflers made to my dimensions but had to wait on the roll bar.

    While I was waiting io decided to swap the 3.50 gears out that came with the 9" for 4.11's, I was going to do that later in the year as an opportunity to take the rear apart and inspect it after some passes but had time to kill so I have 4.11+28" DOT tire for blower only that should cover me to 135mph (legal 10.0 speed) and I will use a 29" super stiff sidewall "Super Stock" style full slick for the NOS and top speed of 140 which will be all I ever go in this rocket.
